About Clarence House Holidays
Clarence House is unique – neither a corporate hotel nor seaside bed and breakfast – more like privately visiting your friends’ Victorian villa while they are away! Come and go in your home from home yet you don’t have to entertainyour hosts….
The Isle of Wight is a very Victorian holiday retreat, which the Queen made fashionable when she came to Osborne House. You will see Victorian influences all over the island. When royalty made the island their permanent holiday home, the aristocracy followed. And they started building their own period mansions to entertain and party in. You will
notice the plethora of Victorian names on our streets (Albert, Beatrice, Clarence) and all of our boutique rooms are names after Queen Victoria’s children, designed to reflect each one individually.
You select the style of break you prefer. Whether you choose to set up an alternate home for a week with your family and friends in a private apartment with orthopaedic mattresses, Egyptian cotton sheets, well equipped kitchen, sitting room and private terrace for al fresco dining, or forget the cooking and take either a large or cosy ensuite
bedroom in the main house and let the local restaurants treat you with mouth-watering local fayre our island is proud of, you’re sure to find the calm and laid back approach at Clarence House ensures relaxation at its utmost. Extremely peaceful evenings, no bossy getup times for a fried breakfast you paid for but didn’t want in a shared dining room, stay socially distanced and just relax and make your own treats in your apartment.
All apartments have their own outside space and private dining area (except our Albert Studio) but please note that the owners' lawn is out of bounds for health and safety purposes.
Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the premises, not just inside. Those wishing to smoke please leave no 15 Clarence House and smoke outside on the pavement. Thank you for your cooperation.
